I fully understand that:
net price + local sales taxes = gross price
and that, until the customer gives their delivery address, the local sales tax element cannot be determined.
However, since the vast majority of our customers are based in the UK and the standard rate of VAT will be payable, we feel that they will be unhappy with only seeing the VAT and gross price on the final checkout display.
Has anyone else addressed this issue? Has anyone else devised a nice user-friendly way of informing customers that they may be subject to VAT or local sales taxes wherever prices are displayed?
Any feedback or suggestions would be gratefully received.

In admin/settings, you can set the catalog to display prices with taxes on all the pages or only at checkout under the store tab.
