I am getting this error in the admin dashboard:

"Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression."

I can get to the main screen, but I can't edit a product and can't work with images.

did you change anything in the settings that had to do with cmpression?

It happened right after I was trying to upload an image that I had rotated in Windows Explorer. So, today I had the bright idea to delete that image via ftp. That seemed to do it. I don't get the page load problem now.

Well, that wasn't it completely. It seems to have a problem when I try to upload large jpg files (>1mb). Previously, I had uploaded compressed versions so that the files were smaller and would load fast. However, they didn't scale well. So, I thought I'd upload the original large jpg files so that when the user enlarged them they would be clear and I could save the step of resizing the photos that I've already taken. Any ideas why the large jpg files that I created in Photoshop would be causing the compression error?

Give me an Idea what the file size is and where you are using it.

Would you also please try with a different browser just to see if we get the same issue.

1.268 MB for one. 1920x1920. Admin > Image.

I have resized everything to 50% and that seems to work. So, this is an academic question now in case anyone else has the problem.

Max. uploadable file size?

Just as a test, I uploaded a 3.12mb file, 1744 X 2888 and all worked fine on my server.
In image file, mine shows 8mg file size limit.
