Inclusion of tax & shipping rates depending on zones

I have implemented Alegrocart 1.1 for my website. I need to include different tax rates for different zones. There are seven zones & seven different tax rates for different zones. Can you please help me in categorizing 7 zones & display that particular zone when the address is entered and display the freight charges for that particular zone.

Thank you so much for your reply. I could add different zones and countries. Now I have problem with adding tax. according to the procedure given by you can add a single tax but i need to add two types of taxes. For ex. if the product rate is 3500 the first tax we need to add is 17.5% that is 4112.5 and 10.3% of this amount i.e. 4536. Also the product rate depends on the weight of the product. So can u please help me to solve this issue.

Could you give several examples showing all the details so I can better understand.
Show the rates, amounts and what calculations are done with the results.
I'll see what needs to be done.

I would suggest you might want to upgrade to the latest version 1.2.1

It has many fixes and a new frame work for template, styles, and color schemes and css has been modified to allow for easier modification.

Thank you so much for your reply. For consider a painting of different sizes like
8*10 of weight 3 kgs, 10*12 of weight 3.5kgs , which extends till 48*72
which is of weight 40kgs. The actual prices of these paintings depend on the size of the painting in India.
Outside India the shipping charges depends on the weight of the painting.
Consider an example for zone 1 which is of 8*10 i.e 3kgs which can be calculated as
500g=390 Rs
remaining 2.5 kgs can be calculated as 390*5(calculating for each 500g)=1950
Therefore 1950+390=2340. This is the product price for zone 1.
Now the tax has to included for this amount
1) 17.5% of 2340 = 2749.5.
2) 10.5% of 2749.5 = 3032.7
so this the price of painting of size 8*10 of weight 3kgs for zone 1.
In the similar way prices will vary for different zones for different weight.
And it must include two types of taxes as shown above.
I have already uploaded Alegro Cart 1.1. Now I'm only left with different Zones.
So kindly help me regarding this issue as early as possible please.

It appears you have to calculate the second tax based on the (product + the first tax)
Do you need this to be listed as two separate items.

If not, the tax rate of 29.8375% gives the same answer, which should be 3038.2.

If you need two entries, that will require some modifications to tax, calculate, and the cart.
It will also require check-out and emails to be changed.

Thank you so much for your reply. I could easily include all zones & also I could include tax rate of 29.62% of tax rate for all zones as suggested by you. Now i have problem in product rate.
For example product price within India will be 3500.
For different zones the prices of product depends on weight of the product which will vary.
How do I differentiate the product rate for different zones?
Kindly help me regarding this issue. Thanks a lot for your patience for reading my issues & solving them.
I hope this will be my final issue and I'm done with my project.

You can't change the product price by zone.
You can change the shipping rate base on zone and weight.
