Email Issues

Post by fragrantmoon » Fri Jun 08, 2012 10:37 am

I have recently installed Alegro Cart via Softaculous and have been working to get my store setup. I have ran into an issue sending and receiving emails. I have entered my email address under settings/Email Accounts. I then created a user account and made a couple purchases. I do not receive any confirmation emails, nor does the customer account when I update the order status or send one directly through Customers/Mail. There is no error and I get the notification that the email has been sent successfully each time.

Any ideas? Be gentle, I am fairly new to all of this.

Thanks!

My first thought is to check the spam filter if you do not get e-mails at all.

Is Send E-Mails set to yes?
Please go Setting/Error handling tab and enable Error Handler and Email Send.
Set temporary Show user to yes and place and order in the catalog.

If you share with me your website url I could test it as well.

I have created an account and checked out. You're right, no e-mails sent at all.
Please, contact your web hosting provider and clear these questions:
- server type (unix, windows) your AC is running on
- do they have mail server?
- is authentication required?
