How to resize column?

How to resize column (left, midle & right) to fit the interface of the store?
When I enable homepage, suddenly the right column is gone and move under the midle column. My website store become messy. pls help

What is the content of your homepage module?
Flash, message, image, slider?

when i enable home page & type some words to welcoming guest using font 20. The right column move down under midle column.
When i change the font to 16, the right column is just fine located to the place.
i am wondering why the size of font could affect to the column.

right column is floated, so either us smaller fonts, or write the text in 2 lines or use wider template like 1.2 or set home page location to subheader with admin/configuration/template manager..
